How to Create a Simple Spreadsheet in LibreOffice 4.3 Calc
Creating spreadsheets
Context
LibreOffice 4.3 Calc can be used to organize efficient spreadsheets.
Prerequisites
- LibreOffice 4.3
Steps
- Open LibreOffice 4.3, and click 'Calc Spreadsheet' to open a new spreadsheet
To open an existing spreadsheet click 'Open File' instead (Figure 1 Below)
- Make your calculations
Be sure to learn a few of calc's built in functions:
- Use LibreOffice to format your finished calculations(Figure 2 Below)
Calc can create graphs, tables, and charts!
- Add more spreadsheets, creating a workbook, using the green plus sign in the bottom left corner of the application
- Save your work by clicking 'File' then 'Save As' or by holding 'Ctrl' and 's' simultaneously
Be sure to frequently save your spreadsheet to avoid lost of information
- Print your spreadsheet by clicking 'File' then 'Print' or by holding 'Ctrl' and 'p' simultaneously
You can also export your spreadsheet to a PDF and print your spreadsheet by pressing the PDF icon or the print icon, respectively
